On the morning of October 24, 2025, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Water and Environment Association, in collaboration with the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, organized the seminar “Carbon Market – The Key to Achieving the Net Zero Goal.”

The event brought together representatives from central management agencies such as the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Climate Change, as well as leaders of the Vietnam Water and Environment Association, the Environment and Life Magazine, and numerous experts, scientists, and businesses in the fields of water, environment, and climate change. The seminar aimed to exchange experiences and discuss mechanisms for developing Vietnam’s carbon market – a vital tool for realizing the commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050.

The seminar focused on four key topics:

1. The history and international experience in developing the carbon market.

2. Mechanisms, policies, and carbon pricing tools in Vietnam and globally.

3. What enterprises need to prepare to participate in Vietnam’s carbon market.

4. The economic, social, and environmental benefits of joining the carbon market.
