VIETNAM GROWTECH 2026
Connecting businesses and advancing green projects, circular economy initiatives, and ESG practices.
22 October 2026

From October 21-23, 2026, the International Exhibition VIETNAM GROWTECH 2026 took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together businesses and technology providers in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors. Beyond business networking and technology showcases, the event provided opportunities to exchange ideas on production innovation, resource efficiency, and sustainable development.
As part of the exhibition, the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Nature and Environment Protection (HANE) coordinated with the event organizers to host a discussion titled “WHAT DO BUSINESSES NEED TO PREPARE FOR GREEN PROJECTS, CIRCULAR PROJECTS, AND ESG?” The discussion focused on the requirements and challenges businesses need to address on their green transition journey.

Decision No. 46/2026/QĐ-TTg: Guiding the Implementation of Green Projects and ESG
One of the key topics was Decision No. 46/2026/QĐ-TTg, which sets out criteria related to green projects, circular projects, and ESG reporting, scheduled to take effect on November 1, 2026.
The new criteria provide businesses with a clearer basis for identifying eligible projects, preparing reports, and developing implementation roadmaps. However, effective implementation requires translating policy requirements into practical plans tailored to business operations, from data management and responsibility allocation to selecting appropriate solutions.
During the discussion, Ms. Tô Thị Hồng Điệp, Founder & CEO of MinMax Green, joined other speakers in addressing key considerations for businesses implementing green projects, circular projects, and ESG:
-
Identifying green and circular projects: Understanding and correctly applying the relevant criteria.
-
Ensuring transparent greenhouse gas data: Maintaining reliable, verifiable data to support GHG inventories and ESG reporting.
-
Organizing ESG implementation: Defining responsibilities across departments and clarifying the role of business leadership.
-
Developing emissions reduction roadmaps: Selecting solutions suited to business resources and operational characteristics.
-
Carbon credits: Clarifying the role of carbon credits in climate strategies alongside direct emissions reduction measures.

From Understanding the Criteria to Taking Practical Action
The discussions highlighted that the green transition is not merely about regulatory compliance. It is also a process through which businesses proactively review their operations, manage environmental impacts, and strengthen governance capabilities. Reliable data, clearly defined responsibilities, and roadmaps aligned with available resources are essential to achieving sustainable development goals.
The forum also created opportunities for experts and businesses to exchange experiences, connect with potential solutions, and jointly promote the adoption of sustainable development models in Vietnam.
MinMax Green sincerely thanks the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Nature and Environment Protection (HANE), the VIETNAM GROWTECH 2026 Organizing Committee, the speakers, and participating businesses for contributing to a valuable platform for networking and sharing practical insights on the green transition.
